Saeco
Founded in 1981 in Gaggio Montano near Bologna, Italy, Saeco began as a small company with a mission to revolutionize coffee brewing.
In 1985, Saeco made history by designing the world’s first “bean-to-cup” system, an innovative, fully automatic process for preparing Italian espresso directly from the coffee bean to the cup.
Since then, Saeco has continued to develop coffee machines that cater to a variety of lifestyles, both at home and professionally.
The acquisition of Gaggia in 1999 reinforced Saeco’s commitment to Italian excellence in coffee.
In 2009, the partnership with Philips positioned Saeco as a global leader in coffee machines. The collaboration has driven the development of cutting-edge technologies and new patents, further elevating the brand’s legacy.
